SGTBIMIT organized the National Seminar on “Epitome of Obedience Life and Teachings of Sri Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji & Glorifying the Sikhism on 18/7/2022. The national seminar was organized on the occasion of Prakash Purab of 8th Guru, Sri Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji.
The event started with the blessings of the almighty with the recitation of Shabad by students of the divinity society of our institute. Dr. Jaspal Singh Ji was the Guest of Honour of the event. He was Ex-Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala. He emphasized on the lessons that we all should learn from the life history of Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji. He talked about Guru Sahib who is known as Bal Guru and sometimes spelled as Hari Krishan Sahib. Guru Har Krishan Sahib had the shortest reign as Guru, lasting only 2 years, 5 months, and 24 days. He is remembered in the Sikh tradition for saying “Baba Bakale” before he died. He was considered as the healer who took the widespread disease on himself and cured the city. He focussed on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and talked about all the Sikh Gurus and all other contributors in the writing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
We are grateful to the management of our Institute to give us the opportunity to conduct such an event to enlighten our students and staff members. We are grateful to S. MPS Chadha Ji, Honorable Chairman, S. Jasbir Singh Jassi Ji, Honorable Co-Chairman, and S. Trilochan Singh Chitkara Ji, Honorable Vice-Chairman of our Institute. We are also thankful to the Director of our Institute – Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kaur under whose guidance such events are conducted in our Institute.
In the end our Assistant Director, S. Virender Singh gave the vote of thanks and motivated the young students to implement the basics of Sikhism in their day-to-day life.
